Dance Marathon

FIU ROARTHON

Founded on the University’s 25th anniversary, FIU ROARTHON (Dance Marathon) is entering its 19th year of raising funds for Miami Children’s Health Foundation. ROARTHON was established in 1997 at FIU and raised only $9,000. Since then, ROARTHON has raised over$900,000.00 with 100% of the proceeds directly benefiting the children at Niklaus Children’s Hospital.

Over the course of the marathon, participants will stay on their feet pledging their dedication to saving the lives of children. Participants will meet and mingle with hundreds of others helping to make a difference! More than just dancing takes place at the marathon. Participants have enjoyed, karaoke, basketball, rock climbing, laser tag, and comedians! Special Guests have included Miami Heat Dancers, Miami Heat Junior Jam, DJ Cato K, The Florida Marlins Mermaids and Radio Disney! Past visitors have included FIU Presidents, Florida State Representatives, “Miracle Children,” inspirational survivors from Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, visit ROARTHON each year to motivate and thank dancers for their contribution to the hospital.
